NEKTON-Breed-Star is a food supplement for birds that is specially developed to help with breeding. It contains all essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals and trace elements. In addition, NEKTON-Breed-Star has a generous amount of vitamin E and essential amino acids, in the ideal ratio to encourage and support breeding activity.
Vitamin E has several functions in animals, but its key function is to protect the cells from oxidative damage - it promotes the protection of cell membranes and the detoxification of pollutants occurring in cell metabolism. It is also involved in cell respiration and thus plays a very important role in energy metabolism. It has also been shown that vitamin E supplementation improves animal fertility (especially sperm quality in males and egg fertility in females) and increases embryo survival and viability of hatched young. Additionally, vitamin E promotes antibody formation and has a positive effect on the immune system. Vitamin E deficiency can cause reduced fertility, sex drive and hatching. Finally, a lack of vitamin E particularly impairs muscle (white muscle disease) and heart functions. NEKTON-Breed-Star increases the often minimal amount of vitamin E in processed bird diets and covers the birds' needs with these nutrients, that are so important for the body.
During breeding, the amino acid requirements of birds increase. NEKTON-Breed-Star contains 18 amino acids, with a high proportion of arginine, lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan, which are very important for the bird during breeding. These amino acids are limited, which means they must be supplied in the diet. The addition of these amino acids primarily increases reproductive performance and also counteracts stress factors. They increase egg quality and including egg weight, fertility, odds of having a successful hatch, and can stimulate immune response and alleviate immune stress.
The vitamin content of NEKTON-Breed-Star is tailored to the special needs of birds' during breeding. NEKTON-Breed-Star can prevent damage to the birds' health that can result from a lack of these vital substances. These nutrients support proper metabolism and improve utilization of nutrients in food. This strengthens the bird's immune system and improves performance. It is ideal in combination with NEKTON Calcium plus for balanced breeding and to prevent calcium deficiency (egg breakage / egg quality).
How to feed:
1 g (= 1 level measuring spoon) NEKTON-Breed-Star to 250 ml (8.5oz) water or 100g (3.5oz) of soft food. Administration of NEKTON-Breed-Star should be started at least three weeks before breeding. As soon as the first egg is laid and the female sits on the eggs, no more NEKTON-Breed-Star is given. It could cause disruption in the incubation process due to a drive in the male that is too strong. After completion of the treatment continue with the daily vitamin supply of NEKTON-S and NEKTON-MSA.
Because of this supplement‘s higher content of vitamin D and trace elements than in a complete feed, it may only be added to 2 % of a bird‘s daily ration.

How to feed:
Using the included measuring spoon: Half a scoop (0.5 g) for small
birds
One level scoop (1 g) for medium sized birds

NEKTON-Lori is a complete and balanced food for all types of parrots that naturally consume liquid foods such as flower nectar, plant juices, and pollen. The recipe of NEKTON-Lori uses high-quality ingredients that strictly follow nature's guidelines, while also taking into account the unique digestive system of nectar-eating parrots. It prioritizes highly digestible proteins, easily digestible carbohydrates, and essential fatty acids enriched with vitamins, trace elements, and minerals, resulting in an optimal blend. You don't need to offer any other food, and you shouldn't administer any other vitamin supplements while using NEKTON-Lori.
How to feed:
To prepare the feed solution for your lorikeet, mix 10 grams (one spoonful of the included spoon) (0.35 oz) of NEKTON-LORI with 100 ml (3.38 fl oz.) of lukewarm water at 30 °C (86 °F). Gently stir the mixture until it dissolves completely.
Avoid using a blender or whisk when mixing NEKTON-LORI, as it can mechanically destroy some vitamin components and alter the vitamin ratio. Once the solution is ready, transfer it to a feeding container and offer it to your loris.

NEKTON-Nektar-Plus is a specially designed food mixture for hummingbirds and other nectar-eating birds. The formula is packed with nutrients and active ingredients that these birds need for optimal health. The carbohydrates in NEKTON-Nektar-Plus mimic the natural nectar found in flowers and provide a source of energy for these animals. This food mixture is also enriched with vitamins, proteins, fats, and trace elements to create a balanced diet that supports the overall well-being of these birds.
To feed the birds, we recommend using our brown Plexiglas drinking tube that's UV-protected. It ensures that the food stays fresh as long as possible (12 to 18 hours) and provides a sloping bottom so that the bird can eat the last bit of food. A 40 ml serving is sufficient for even larger species to receive a full day's worth of nutrition. It's important NEVER to use open food bowls, as they can cause the birds to soil their feathers.
Nekton Nektar-Plus is a food mixture that was originally developed for hummingbirds, but it's also great for other nectar-eating birds, such as sunbirds, honeycreepers, bananaquits, flower piercers and butterflies. It provides the same energy as flower nectar, their preferred food source, and is packed with essential vitamins, protein, fats, trace elements, and minerals to keep them healthy in the long term. Note that the plumage of some birds may fade over time. To avoid this, you can add NEKTON-R for red plumage colors and NEKTON-Gelb for yellow plumage colors to the feed.
How to feed:

NECTAR FEEDERS
Especially designed and constructed with regard to the feeding habits of humming, sun birds and other nectar-feeding birds such as bananaquits.
Made of special-purpose brown plexiglass impervious to ultra-violet rays to protect the nectar solution, NEKTON nectar feeders are especially designed to ensure a bird reaches the very last drop. The bottom of the tube slopes towards the opening and the inside joints are curved so that the bird’s tongue can travel smoothly up the sides of the tube.
The feeder will hold up to 40 ml, big enough to take the daily ration for all sizes of hummers. A measuring scale enables exact dosing for individual birds.
